| Well-directed, slick looking production. The narrator does a fine job of relating King's poem and the accompanying visuals are effectively wicked and fun. |

I love this one. I also love King's poem "Paranoid: A Chant" (Skeleton Crew) from which this one is based. Jay Holben's adaptation is pretty stylish and creepy, in mood, atmosphere, music, everything! Very short indeed(8 minutes), but, for me, it's a suitable length. It's not a story, but a poem, remember?
In King's poem the narrator doesn't have a definite gender. That didn't stop me from envisioning the narrator as a man (don't ask me why).
So it was at first surprising that Holben
chose a woman, but it don't matter. I get the same feelings watching this, as I get reading it.
A little side-note: This is actually a remake, in a way.
Holben made a version in 1992, with another actress and a lower-budget. I don't why that one has never been released in any form (maybe it was some sort of a trial cut), but I'm glad that we have this one. |

I've seen the movie and it's quite good (great pictures, but the actress not enough paranoid as for me...) and I love the poem. It's realy brilliant.
