Tiffany Treloar
She played in Ben Woods‘ Rest Stop as Wife.
SKSM: Could you start with telling me a little bit about yourself? Who are you and what do you do?
Tiffany Treloar: My name is Tiffany Treloar I am an actress now living in Sydney, Australia. Currently, I work full time as a Change Management coordinator, however, I am still clinging to my dreams of being a full time actress.
SKSM: When did you know you wanted to become an actress?
Tiffany Treloar: I’ve known ever since I was a little girl. At first, I wanted to be a Singer, however, my need to perform evolved and acting seemed like the perfect job for someone like me.
SKSM: How did you become involved in Rest stop Dollar Baby film?
Tiffany Treloar: I applied to audition for the role. I actually had two auditions on the day for two different films, and the first one went very well and i guess that feeling stayed with me for the Rest Stop audition. I felt the emotion was there and that I gelled with the film team. It wasn’t long before I found out I was successful.
SKSM: What do you think it is about the story that attracts people so much?
Tiffany Treloar: It’s a story about taking something into your own hands. I’m sure a lot of people have been in positions that have put them in the ‘flight or fight’ mode. The characters in this film all have the ‘fight’ mode turned on inside themselves. I liked that it was grungy and dirty. It wasn’t a pretty little package of a film; if that makes sense.
SKSM: Did you have to audition for the part or was it written directly for you?
Tiffany Treloar: I auditioned for the role, however, I was involved in auditioning my ‘husband’ in the film – it was to see the chemistry between myself and the other actor/s.
SKSM: You worked with Ben Woods on this film, how was that?
Tiffany Treloar: Ben was Great. Although it was a student film, the passion was definitely there. Ben would always check in with the actors and help develop our performances, which I feel is always necessary. The burden ‘to get it right’ shouldn’t fall all to the actors and Ben had a visión and wanted to ensure we knew what that was.
SKSM: Was there any funny or special moment when they made the movie that you would like to tell me about?
Tiffany Treloar: I remmeber my scenes were always very emotional. I had to do 3-4 takes of the same screaming/crying and it does take it out of you. To say I was exhuasted afterwards is an understatement! We were also filming in a residential área at night, we needed to pre approve the filming with the local pólice because obviously, I was going to be screaming and crying and we didn’t want the residents to be worried.
SKSM: Do you still have any contact with the crew/cast from that time? If so with who?
Tiffany Treloar: I still have most of them as Facebook Friends and I can see that they all have Jobs within the film/creative industries, which is Great.
SKSM: What are you working on nowadays?
Tiffany Treloar: My partner has just started his own Production Company (Hell or Highwater Productions). He is a Writer/Director so there are always roles for me. I would love to find full time work within the acting profession, however, it’s a waiting and patience game. One day someone will require a curly red head haha
SKSM: Are you a fan of Stephen King’s work?
Tiffany Treloar: I am actually. He is quite amazing in that he can come up with such brilliant ideas for books. There are just so many out there and even recently they brought out a new versión of IT. These stories will last a lifetime…and some will even be in my nightmares haha
SKSM: What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Tiffany Treloar: I am not as confident as I Project myself to be. That’s the beauty of being an actor, you can put a mask on and pretend to be anything you want.
SKSM: Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Is there anything you want to say to the fans that read this interview?
Tiffany Treloar: Thank you for being a fan and I hope you enjoyed our interpretation of Rest Stop.
