Seth Coble
He is the Production Assistant of Brian Johnson‘s Uncle Otto’s Truck Dollar Baby Film.
SKSM: May you introduce yourself to our readers?
Seth Coble: My name is Seth Coble. I’m a young, aspiring film maker from Virginia.
SKSM: When did you know you wanted to become a producer?
Seth Coble: I realized I wanted to work in film through my high school’s TV/ Media class. I then founded my own video production business with some of my friends and my love for film has only grown ever since.
SKSM: How did you become involved in Uncle Otto’s Truck Dollar Baby film?
Seth Coble: I became involved in Uncle Otto’s Truck though my TV/ Media teacher Mr. Hawks. He is friends with Brian, and knew how passionate and driven I was when it comes to film making. He gave me Brian’s contact info and we began to talk back and forth about the project.
SKSM: Can you tell us about your work in the film?
Seth Coble: Since the crew was fairly small, I wore many hats during production. I did everything from grip to boom operator. I even was a sound mixer on a few scenes. If I didn’t know how to work a piece of equipment, I could always count on close by crew members to show me the ropes.
SKSM: What was it like to work with Brian Johnson on this film?
Seth Coble: Brian Johnson is a great director/ Cinematographer to work with. Throughout the entire shoot he maintained a friendly, upbeat set while also keeping production as efficient as possible. His goofy personality made times of stress turn into times of fun. I’ve learned a great deal from working with him, and I hope to work with him on future projects.
SKSM: Was there any funny things that happened while filming (Bloopers, etc)?
Seth Coble: When the cameras were not rolling we would all joke with each other. Peter Holland’s cool persona made him great to get along with and Rick Meyer’s stories about working in the film industry were always entertaining. I can’t remember a specific time of laughter on set because there was so much of it. It was a great experience to work on set with such friendly people.
SKSM: Are you a fan of Stephen King’s work?
Seth Coble: I’m a huge fan of Stephen King’s film adaptations. It’s impossible to deny his literary impact on the history of film. With him writing such classics as: The Green Mile, Stand By Me, IT, The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption he has inspired generations of writers and film makers.
SKSM: What are you working on nowadays?
Seth Coble: I am currently attending film school at Virginia Commonwealth University. Most of my projects outside of school are still in the drafting phase but I do make promotional videos for local businesses to fund my future projects.
