A former New York Times reporter is in a South American country investigating on his own the brutal crime of three women that occurred on the banks of the Caya River. This is Fletcher, who, soon to meet with the Motoa brothers for more information, is kidnapped by a group of narco guerrillas to be interrogated and tortured, for his alleged relationship with a communist insurgent named Tomás. Fletcher knows that he has arrived in what he himself calls “A Room of Death.” He knows that very few live to tell that experience, and that his chances of making it out alive are as low as they are slim. From weakness and desperation, strength and the most incredible plan will emerge to make it out alive. Will he achieve his goal of surviving, no matter how fantastic it may sound?
