In Colombia in the 1970s, Armando is kidnapped. In the dark, windowless cubicle, Armando is alone, accompanied only by torture and threats from across the room coming from Pablo Escobar, who is trying to extract information about a possible coup d’état led by a communist group of which Armando is a member. Armando denies it and the torture and violence escalate as Pablo Escobar loses patience. In another part of the country, Andrés argues with militiamen about whether Armando’s life is more important than the coup d’état.
