Angel Sollner

He played in Albert Hamilton‘s Fletcher as Ramon.

SKSM: Could you start with telling me a little bit about yourself? Who are you and what do you do?

Angel Sollner: My name is Ángel Rafael Sollner Vera and I have been a qualified Bank Security Guard for over 25 years.

SKSM: When did you know you wanted to become an actor?

Angel Sollner: Since I was given this opportunity through Albert Hamilton and he explained to me what this project consisted of, which I found great, both the challenge and the confidence he placed in me that I could do it.

SKSM: What else do you do besides acting?

Angel Sollner: I teach basketball and play as well, I am the father of two wonderful children whom I love very much and I work in Bank Security.

SKSM: How did you become involved in Fletcher Dollar Baby film?

Angel Sollner: As I said, Albert approached me, since we have been friends for many years and he introduced me to this project. I knew about Mr. King, but my daughter is a great reader of his novels and was excited by the idea of ​​me participating in one of his works.

SKSM: What do you think it is about the story that attracts people so much?

Angel Sollner: I think it is the suspense, the mystery, the intensity of the story reflected through the scenes, its realism and the ability to reach both North American and Spanish-speaking fans to understand and enjoy it.

SKSM: Did you have to audition for the part or was it written directly for you?

Angel Sollner: I don’t know if it was written for me, but the director called me and told me that I had the physical characteristics and the ability to play the role as he requires and that gave me confidence to play my character, Ramon.

SKSM: You worked with Albert Hamilton on this film, how was that?

Angel Sollner: I knew his work as a director, but working with him was a great experience. He taught me the true world of cinema, how demanding, tiring and all the effort that goes into a production to try to be successful and to meet the expectations of both the writer and his great fans. It will be an unforgettable memory in my time as an actor, for which I will always be grateful.

SKSM: Was there any funny or special moment when they made the movie that you would like to tell me about?

Angel Sollner: Yes, a lot, I think that in any film there are always these moments. For example, filming at night in the scene of Fletcher’s kidnapping and putting him in a vehicle and suddenly he runs away on a girl’s bike saying “they won’t catch me”, that was very original and made us laugh a lot and at the same time brought us closer as a team.

SKSM: What are you working on nowadays?

Angel Sollner: As a Bank Security Guard.

SKSM: Are you a fan of Stephen King’s work?

Angel Sollner: I knew about him and some of his works thanks to my daughter who has read several of his books and obviously I am now a fan of him since I know some of his works up close and can play them out.

SKSM: What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

Angel Sollner: I am a quiet and very passive person regarding the film and that I could only consider myself an amateur actor.
